ABOUT US

HISTORY

The Green Bay Hmong Ministry was founded in 1996 through the faithful obedience of three Hmong families who were passionate about sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ. United in prayer and purpose, and in partnership with Rev. Yia Vang, these families planted the seeds of what would become a vibrant ministry—established to proclaim the Gospel and serve as a spiritual home for the Hmong community in the Green Bay area. From the beginning, their vision was not only to gather believers in worship but also to reach non-Christian Hmong families with the life-changing message of salvation in Christ.

By God’s grace, the Hmong Ministry at Pilgrim Lutheran Church has experienced continual growth and spiritual fruitfulness over nearly three decades. Today, the congregation has grown to over 100 members, with hearts on fire for Jesus and a commitment to making disciples. Under the faithful leadership of Reverend Kue Ly and his wife Parnee Ly, the ministry continues to flourish. Their unwavering love for the Lord and dedication to the Great Commission has led many more Hmong souls to faith in Jesus Christ. All glory to God for what He has done—and continues to do—through this ministry!
